80 mm Oversized Double PlugMinder Cover

The 80 mm Oversized Double PlugMinder Cover is designed for larger non-standard plugs that need extra space above or below the socket, as well as maximum internal depth for bulkier plug bodies and transformer-style adapters.

Although the cover has the same width as the standard Double PlugMinder, it has an increased overall height of 140 mm. This provides additional clearance at both the top and bottom of the cover, making it suitable for taller or unusually shaped plugs that may not fit inside a standard-height PlugMinder.

Once fitted, the plugs and cables remain enclosed behind the lockable cover, helping prevent them from being unplugged, removed or tampered with.

Why is this PlugMinder called Oversized?

This model is called Oversized because it provides extra internal space above and below the socket area.

Some non-standard plugs are taller than a normal UK plug and can protrude beyond the top or bottom edge of the socket. In these situations, a standard-height PlugMinder may not provide enough clearance, even if the plug depth itself is suitable.

The 80 mm Oversized Double PlugMinder helps solve this by allowing:

• Up to 25 mm of extra clearance above the socket

• Up to 30 mm of extra clearance below the socket

• 80 mm of internal depth for bulkier plugs and larger adapters

• Additional room for taller plug bodies

Top and bottom cable exits

In addition to the bottom cable exit holes, the 80 mm Oversized Double PlugMinder also includes two cable exit holes at the top of the cover.

These top cable exits allow cables up to 10 mm in diameter to leave the cover from above, making the cover more flexible for plugs or devices where the cable naturally exits upwards.

Cable inserts are supplied for the top cable exits, helping keep the cover neat when one or both top exits are not required.

Built-in mobile device charging cable protection

All PlugMinder models include integrated cable-retaining hooks on the baseplate. These help hold a mobile device charging cable, such as a phone or tablet cable, in place once the cover is fitted, reducing the chance of the cable being removed or taken away.

The cable is held between the baseplate and the outer cover, so once PlugMinder is installed, the charger and cable are kept in place and ready for use.
