When a standard cover may not fit
Designed for non-standard installations
Some plug and socket arrangements need a little more flexibility. Custom covers can be designed to suit installations where a standard PlugMinder cover may not provide the right clearance, cable exit or overall fit.
Unusual cable positions
If cables exit above, below or in more than one direction, the cover may need custom cable openings to suit the installation.
Non-standard socket layouts
Some sockets, fused spurs, adaptors or wall positions require a different width, height or depth from our standard covers.

Information needed for a custom cover
To help us assess whether a custom PlugMinder cover can be supplied, please gather the information listed below. The dimensions we require are clearly marked on the Custom Cover Request form. Use the Request a custom cover button at the bottom of this section to open the form and submit your measurements, photos and other details.
Socket size
The width and height of the socket or area to be covered.
Depth required
The distance the plug extends from the surface of the wall.
Clearance above and below the socket
The distance that plugs, cables or adaptors extend above or below the socket.
Cable exit requirements
Whether the cable needs to exit from the bottom, top, or both.
Photo of the installation
A clear photo of the socket with the plug or plugs inserted, so the required shape and clearance can be checked.
Note:
Measure to the furthest points reached by the plug or adaptor.
We will add 10mm (1cm) to each measurement to allow for small variations
and provide suitable clearance.

We review the information and confirm whether a suitable PlugMinder cover can be supplied.

Cost and lead time confirmed
We confirm the cost of the cover and the expected lead time before you place an order.

Order placed
Once agreed, the order is placed and added to the custom cover print queue.

Designed and printed
Custom covers are designed and printed in the order they are received.

Despatched once complete
Your custom cover is checked, assembled and despatched once printing is complete.

Where only minor changes are required, a custom cover may be close to the price of a standard PlugMinder cover.
More involved customisation may require an additional charge to cover design time, additional material, and extra printing time.
Any additional cost will always be confirmed before an order is placed.
