This website sells PlugMinder products. PlugMinder is the name of the product range. The seller and business operator is Practical3DPrint.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Practical3DPrint. “You” and “your” refer to the customer or website user.

Scope of these terms

These terms apply to orders placed directly through this website.

If you purchase a PlugMinder product through a third-party marketplace, such as Etsy, Amazon or another sales platform, that order may also be subject to the terms, policies and return process of that platform.

Our products

PlugMinder products are designed to help protect UK electrical sockets, plugs and connected equipment from being switched off, unplugged or tampered with.

PlugMinder products are designed for indoor use only. They should not be installed outdoors or in areas exposed to rain, damp or unsuitable environmental conditions.

Product descriptions, measurements, photographs and guidance are provided to help you choose a suitable product. Please check the product information carefully before ordering, including socket type, plug depth, cable exit requirements and clearance around the socket.

If you are unsure which product is suitable, please contact us before placing your order.

Product suitability

It is your responsibility to check that the product you order is suitable for your socket, plug, cable direction, available clearance and intended use.

PlugMinder should only be used with electrical equipment that is in good condition and operating normally. Do not use PlugMinder with damaged plugs, cables, chargers, adaptors or electrical accessories.

Some plugs, chargers, transformers and adaptors may become warm during use. You should ensure that the selected PlugMinder cover provides suitable clearance and that the connected equipment does not require unrestricted ventilation.

If equipment becomes unusually hot, shows signs of damage or does not operate normally, discontinue use and seek appropriate advice.

Installation

PlugMinder is designed for straightforward installation using the socket’s existing fixing screws, where suitable.

Always isolate the electrical supply before installation. Anyone carrying out installation must be competent and comfortable working around electrical fittings.

If you are unsure, or if installation requires access to wiring, you should use a qualified electrician.

We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable electrical fittings, failure to isolate the electrical supply, misuse of the product or use with damaged electrical equipment.

Custom-made covers

We may offer custom-made PlugMinder covers for sockets, plugs or installations that are not suitable for a standard product.

Custom-made covers are designed and manufactured using measurements, photographs and requirements supplied by the customer. It is important that all information provided is accurate.

Before a custom order is accepted, we will confirm whether a suitable cover can be supplied, together with the expected cost and lead time.

Custom-made covers cannot normally be returned because the customer has changed their mind or no longer requires the product. This includes covers made with non-standard dimensions, cable exits, clearances or other customer-requested modifications.

This exclusion does not apply where a custom-made product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or does not match the agreed specification.

Orders

When you place an order through this website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected product or products.

An order is only accepted when we confirm the order and begin processing it.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:

  • the product is unavailable;
  • there is an error in the product information, price or delivery charge;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • the delivery address is incomplete or unsuitable;
  • we reasonably believe the order may be fraudulent or inappropriate;
  • we cannot supply a custom product to the requested specification.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order.

Prices and payment

All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling.

The price payable is the price shown at checkout when the order is placed, together with any applicable delivery charge.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout. Orders will not normally be processed until payment has been received or authorised.

We may change product prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Delivery

Delivery information, charges, despatch times and return instructions are set out on our Delivery & Returns page.

We aim to despatch standard in-stock products in line with the timescales shown on the website. Custom-made products are subject to the lead time confirmed before or when the order is placed.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by events outside our control, including postal delays, severe weather, industrial action, bank holidays or other disruption.

Please make sure the delivery address supplied at checkout is correct. Once an order has been despatched, we may not be able to change the delivery address.

Returns, cancellations and refunds

Our returns and refunds process is explained in our Return and Refund Policy and on our Delivery & Returns page.

Standard products can normally be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are returned in as-new and resalable condition.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is normally responsible for return postage unless otherwise required by law.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products will be handled in accordance with your statutory rights.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect products

Please contact us as soon as possible if:

  • your order arrives damaged;
  • a component is missing;
  • you receive the wrong product;
  • the product appears to have a manufacturing fault.

Please include your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, clear photographs showing the product, packaging and any damage.

We will review the issue and arrange an appropriate solution, which may include replacement parts, a replacement product, repair or a refund.

Please do not dispose of the product or packaging until we have reviewed the issue, as photographs or a return may be required.

Website information

We aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that all information, descriptions, images, pricing or availability will always be completely free from errors.

Product images are provided for illustration and guidance. Slight differences may occur due to product updates, manufacturing process, lighting, screen settings or minor design improvements.

Because PlugMinder products are 3D printed, visible layer lines and slight variations in surface texture are normal characteristics of the manufacturing process.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or breach of your statutory rights.

We are not responsible for losses caused by:

  • incorrect installation;
  • misuse of the product;
  • use with unsuitable, damaged or overheating electrical equipment;
  • failure to follow product guidance;
  • incorrect measurements or information supplied for a custom-made cover;
  • events outside our reasonable control.

We are not liable for business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data or indirect losses where products are purchased for personal or domestic use.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include postal disruption, severe weather, fire, flood, industrial action, supplier disruption, power failure, technical failure, changes in law or other circumstances beyond our control.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time.

The terms that apply to your order are the terms in force at the time the order is placed, unless a change is required by law or regulation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
